Wheeeee. <3
I probably forgot a lot of incidents..
The rave made my memory go fuzzy. :3
So, the Anime Central Convention (ACen) was last Friday, Saturday, & Sunday in the Rosemont Convention Center. I skipped school Friday to go down to ACen early. I, along with my buddeh Alex and his friend Danielle, had pre-registered. I got my badge in bout 20min total, line and all. Danielle & Alex had another 30 min or so to wait as they reprinted their lost-in-mail badges. All together, we were in line Friday for about an hour. The friends who had driven us down there, however... Well, they hadn't pre-reg. They had to wait NINE hours for their badges. >.O; Talk about boring, I'm sure.
Danielle, Alex & I wandered around on Friday in the Convention center, then left around 6pm to go to the Hyatt Hotel, in which the panels (groups of random talks and events) were being held. Danielle wanted to go to the Glomping panel. xP It was interesting. We got "Glomp Team" buttons. lol. (Alex, you're the only person I've hurt by glomping! Besides, it's a very dangerous pastime...And you did give me permission!) We went back to the Convention center afterwards, wandering around some more. Danielle kept going off by herself, and Alex had to go chasing after her, so I spent much of Friday on my own. But I didn't mind a bit. Usually, I'm not quite comfortable in large crowds, but at ACen, wandering in the midst of complete strangers, I've never felt more like I belonged there. xD Sounds silly, but its so true.
Oh! And at one of the points when I was on my own, I was stopping at the booth with corsets for sale, and the guy selling them approached me and was like, "Can I tie you up?" ...That really startled me. Then I realized what he meant, and I was like, "Sure!" So he fitted me for a corset. Oh god, it was gorgeous. People tell me I'm too skinny now (I don't believe them), but with the corset, I WAS skinny. Truely. I wanted it so very badly. Buuuut, it was 350$. So I couldn't get it.
Later we went to the hotel to arrange sleeping quarters.. Alex got the couch thing, Eric & Ryan got the bed, the other two guys (Gay Alex & his brother, Sean) got the air matress. Danielle slept on the floor by Alex, and I slept under the desk. :3 I really wanted to go the the rave that night, but Ryan was tired after 9 hours in line and I didn't want to impose by asking him to drive meh. ;>>
Saaaaaturday!
Well, first, Alex made fun of my hair when I woke up. T-T; I KNOW I have "after-sex" hair in the morning. Leave me be. ;>> Ah hem. Anyways. The three of us went to the "continental breakfast" at the hotel, it was pretty good.. and at least, it was free. Unlike the food everywhere else.
Alex, Danielle (henceforth Dani) & I had to go to the convention center & wait in line again, because on Friday, they'd just given them temporary passes (because the printers were being stupid). So we got back in line. The Saturday pre-reg line was longer, but it had more interesting people in it. We made friends with the five or so people around us really quickly, and had fun chasing laser lights around. When we were standing there, a Sephiroth came by, and hit me in the ass with his Yuri paddle. xD That was pretty amusing.. I finally got bored with waiting for Alex & Dani, so I went off with my new friends, who, ironically, I didn't even know the names of. xD We wandered around for a while, then I ran into my friend Nick, and since he was on his own, I stayed with him for a while. He was waiting (like I was) for friends to get out of line. We visited Mccall while she was in line still for a bit. I got to see her costume, which was really good. :]
Eventually Alex & Dani got out of line, and I hooked back up with them. We ate some ice cream, then wandered around some more. ^_^
I really don't remember much of that day... I know we went to the arcade, and Danielle and I went to Karaoke at some point... Hrmm. Yesh.
But ohhh... Saturday night.... SOAP BUBBLE!!!
I will try to write about the rave, but... I get really hyper just thinking about it. ^_^ So.. we (Alex, Dani, two other new-friend guys, & moi) waited in line for about an hour before getting in. Our new friends had to leave before we got in, but it was fun in the line anyways. People would randomly start singing a song, and others would join in... XD Oh! And the girls started shouting "Yaoi, Yaoi!" over and over, as loud as they could, and then the guys started shouting "Yuri, Yuri!" as loud as they could... It was really amusing.
When we got in, I went to buy a few glowsticks (mine were at the hotel, and we hadn't had a chance to go back for them before the rave). Then, Chelsea and I decided to go to Ryan's car for some of her glowsticks, so we did that. When we got back, we had no idea where our friends were in the crowd, so we just moved right in and started dancing. Within minutes, Chel & I had both picked up attachments of the male-variety as dance partners. They were both pretty cute, so it was alright. Mine was.. mm... well, he could dance, anyways. :] Chel finally spotted Alex through the crowd, so we danced our way over - my attachment following. We danced with them for a while. When the DJ switched and a new set started, I headed for water. xD
I 'unno about the rest of the night, except that drama from a few of the girls made us leave early, which I kinda resent... I like dancing FAR too much. Chel & I were pretty much dance partners the whole night. We got up on the stage things and danced up there for a bit. xD This one girl up there was dancing with me for a while, only she was completely trashed, you could tell. lol.
In any case, it was amazing. Sunday I won't explain further, only because it was more shopping and such. I acquired several lovely items, being large cat ears, leg warmers, hair accessories, and a decent - if not particularly lovely - sword. Since I'm not at all good with a blade yet, I didn't want to get a truely good one as of yet. When I'm better, I'll be in the market for a good one. xD
One unpleasant thing for ACen; There is a rumor going around school that I made out with Alex there. >.O; I thought I'd address the fact that this isn't true. More than that, it'd sound like bitching, so I'll refrain from elsewise commenting.

That concludes ACen.
Now, for graduation. I truely cant believe that I'm graduating a week from this Saturday. Oh ehm gee. Highschool is basically over for me. Pfffuuu.
I'm probably not having a graduation party, but my ideal place to go after graduation would be ZG. lol. Did I mention that dancing was addictive? :]
